Thumbnails turn to blank squares v 7.07.05
It started with the original release. Prior to 7.07.05 the blank squares were all that would display, occasionally you could click on one that might display. Now on this v it starts out with all working (say 20 or 30) but after a while it goes back to the blank squares, and at that point the only way to view them in the viewpane is to use arrow keys to move around, clicking on them will only work occasionally. I have a screen shot, but don't know how to upload. I could also do a hypercam of the actions... Please provide this additional data: Exact HyperSnap version in use (from Help/About menu): _7.07.05_____ Windows version in use: 2008R2SP1_____

Should have read the headline to your post. Now I know what you mean. Funny, I work with sometimes 50 and more thumbnails with no problem. Which Windows version do you use. I see 2008RC2Sp1. Is this an official name for Vista or Windows 7. In any case, the main admin will read the post also and hopefully have an answer for you. I could not reproduce the error. You can include a jpeg - make it a small one - by clicking on the green icon to the right of the edit pane (looks like a tree, right under the font size field). I guess, I simply have to see it. Trying to insert it using the tree, it wants a url, and won't accept a path to a local file, so how do I add a jpg?

Apparently due to space restrictions the forum would accept an url as the pic itself ist stored elsewhere and only linked to it. Please send the pic to help AT hyperionics DOT com The admin tending to this adress will answer in the forum, as soon as possible. Thomas Admin

It's almost midnight in Germany. Im not up to it, apparently. You are right, it's support AT. BTW I experienced the same tonight. Everything's white until I click on it. Send the pic to support AT and the developer will take a look at it. Thomas Tired admin

I got the image, thank you. Would appreciate an instruction on how to reproduce the problem, e.g. capture or load into HyperSnap 7 30 or more images? Click where exactly? Thank you! Greg

No specific action causes it. Definitely has to have the tn screen full, then it varies, I haven't actually seen it change live, just when I bring it up to get something.

Would you please list, which other programs you have running, when working on your tasks. I had the same problem yesterday, running IE9, Outlook 2010, Explorer, Word and HyperCam 3.3, Media Player. Today FF 7 and the other programs, but no HyperCam and Media Player. Let's see, if we have an issue there. Thomas Admin

Oh boy! Since last login (3 days), currently Excel, Word, Outlook (2010 x32), Acrobat X, AcroReader X, IE 8, HyperSnap 7, numerous RDP sessions. This would probably be typical, 90% of my work is in RDP Sessions on servers.

I tried to capture up to 50 images, while HyperSnap 7 was minimized to the task bar and system tray, but could not reproduce the problem. Maybe you could save the configuration file (Save CFG button on the "Setup" tab of the ribbon) and email it to me. Maybe some specific setting that you use causes this... Greg

File sent to Support. By the way, I really haven't had time to fool with settings, -- file saving, and hot keys.

Thomas, were you able to reproduce the problem Rick reports here? From the image he sent, looks like the check-boxes drawn next to the thumbnails become huge. I tried to reproduce it here, now with Rick's config file (I see that he runs HyperSnap 7 hidden to the system tray and uses auto-save to JPEG format). I run it the same way here, captured 45 images, but still everything was right. Anything else I should pay attention to? Load the images form files maybe, instead of capturing them? Use a particular capture function, e.g. region capture more often? I used capture-active-window as this was the fastest to test... What else? Greg

Rare that I load files from disk. I'm sure it's happened without that. Also of note, after the last update it did get better, at least now I can navigate with arrow keys and they display, before I could not get to most thumbnails at all. I think I went from 07.05 to 07.07.

OK, Rick, I'll put away this issue for now, at least until the time when we can identify the specific operations that cause it, and I'm able to reproduce it on at least one of my computers. Greg

Yes, but how to make the software produce them repeatedly, so that I could find a fix? Do you have a specific sequence of operations to reproduce this? Greg

I'm afraid, that I have neither clear understanding nor a guess. Till today I thought, that the problem comes itself now or later after I work quite long time and take many screenshots without restarting the app. But I admit, that there can be certain cause, may be some specific operation or system event... Well, I'll try to catch it.

OK, if anyone reading this comes up with a way to reliably reproduce the problem, please let me know all the steps necessary for this... Thanks! Greg
