I finally traced this issue to desktop "theme" changes on Windows 7 (and maybe other versions of Windows). I fixed it in ver. 7.11.03 of HyperSnap, so please update your copy and the issue will be no more.

Before you upgrade, you could test that it still happens in an older version: have HyperSnap 7 running and opened in a window or minimized to the taks-bar or system tray. Right-click empty desktop and select "Personalize", then change the theme to anything else temporarily and when the change is done, look back at HyperSnap 7 window, the check-boxes should be huge and messed up. After an upgrade to 7.11.03 it should no longer happen.

Such theme changes sometimes happen even without your explicit action, e.g. if you start some game, it may change desktop theme to "basic" while the game runs, then back to "aero" when you exit the game. Other software may do this too, messing up the older versions of HyperSnap 7 in the process.

I get this problem as well. The thumbnail display just gets corrupted, thumbnails appear over the top of each other, and so on. It just happens as I capture things. The only odd thing I do is I hibernate the computer with HS still running, but that shouldn't make a difference.

Support When it happens again, try to close or hide the thumbnails bar, then show it again (there is a check-box for it on the Setup ribbon tab), let me know if after that the check-boxes return to the normal size.

I've tried disable-enable-disable several times to be sure, but it had no any effect, sorry...

Will try to reproduce it and see what could be done to fix it. When it happens again, try to close or hide the thumbnails bar, then show it again (there is a check-box for it on the Setup ribbon tab), let me know if after that the check-boxes return to the normal size.

Just now I've got this error again. I can't tell surely, what was the reason, but I still suppose, that nothing special.
However I can give a hint. When I left my computer yesterday evening, everything was OK. Now I have not even made any srceenshot, only opened HS to view a screenshot made yesterday - and see this thumbnails bug. So we can conclude, that the cause of the error is not connected any way with screen capturing processes.
And, once more, my hypothesis, that the error appears itself independently of any user operation. Some kind of time-bomb in HS code " />

I'm afraid, that I have neither clear understanding nor a guess. Till today I thought, that the problem comes itself now or later after I work quite long time and take many screenshots without restarting the app. But I admit, that there can be certain cause, may be some specific operation or system event... Well, I'll try to catch it.

OK, Rick, I'll put away this issue for now, at least until the time when we can identify the specific operations that cause it, and I'm able to reproduce it on at least one of my computers.

Rare that I load files from disk. I'm sure it's happened without that. Also of note, after the last update it did get better, at least now I can navigate with arrow keys and they display, before I could not get to most thumbnails at all. I think I went from 07.05 to 07.07.

were you able to reproduce the problem Rick reports here? From the image he sent, looks like the check-boxes drawn next to the thumbnails become huge. I tried to reproduce it here, now with Rick's config file (I see that he runs HyperSnap 7 hidden to the system tray and uses auto-save to JPEG format). I run it the same way here, captured 45 images, but still everything was right. Anything else I should pay attention to? Load the images form files maybe, instead of capturing them? Use a particular capture function, e.g. region capture more often? I used capture-active-window as this was the fastest to test... What else?

I tried to capture up to 50 images, while HyperSnap 7 was minimized to the task bar and system tray, but could not reproduce the problem. Maybe you could save the configuration file (Save CFG button on the "Setup" tab of the ribbon) and email it to me. Maybe some specific setting that you use causes this...

Oh boy! Since last login (3 days), currently Excel, Word, Outlook (2010 x32), Acrobat X, AcroReader X, IE 8, HyperSnap 7, numerous RDP sessions. This would probably be typical, 90% of my work is in RDP Sessions on servers.

Would you please list, which other programs you have running, when working on your tasks.
I had the same problem yesterday, running IE9, Outlook 2010, Explorer, Word and HyperCam 3.3, Media Player.
Today FF 7 and the other programs, but no HyperCam and Media Player.
Let's see, if we have an issue there.

No specific action causes it. Definitely has to have the tn screen full, then it varies, I haven't actually seen it change live, just when I bring it up to get something.

It's almost midnight in Germany. Im not up to it, apparently.
You are right, it's support AT.
BTW I experienced the same tonight. Everything's white until I click on it.
Send the pic to support AT and the developer will take a look at it.
