white color is substituted with 100% transparent in screen captures and some situations

White color is automatically substituted with 100% transparent in all screen captures and when pasting images via OS clipboard from other app, but not in white color filled shapes. I don't know, have I made something accidentally when re-configured my HyperSnap or it's due some code changes in last versions. The problem persists after reloading Windows too.

Any idea, which option should I check to restore regular behavior?

BTW, am I the only who has headache with forum search? Search for a part of the keyword does not work (say, searching with "transp" does not return anything) and in Opera search does not work at all.
 
 
Please provide this additional data:
Exact HyperSnap version in use (from Help/About menu): 7.20.04
Windows version in use: Windows XP SP-2

Support Check "Capture Settings" on the Capture ribbon tab, look at "Default background color for captures" and the "Opacity" setting next to it.
Also look at the "Image" ribbon tab, "Colors" frame, "Substitute" and see if you defined some color substitution with "Automatically apply to all captured images" option turned on.

I'm not sure about every option there. Could you please take a look yourself?
 
And one more notice. When I copy an image between HS different windows, it puts the image white parts as transparent. But when I swith windows and than come back, the pasted image become a regular. However if I witch to another application window and than come back, tha image white parts remain transparent. Does it give you any idea?

Could not reproduce it in a quick test with your config file, but I think your problem arises from auto-saving to GIF files. GIFs are now obsolete, I suggest auto-saving as PNG instead as a quick work-around. Please also tell me in which color mode is your screen, 32 bits per pixel or 24 bpp, or maybe 16? Maybe setting the screen to the same mode I could reproduce the bug and find a fix...

Coming back to our year-old discussion of the bug/feature I've described here in the topic. I was not smart enough to appreciate the good size of this "bug", but over time I have realized, that actually is gives some extra superconvenient options when montaging parts of different similar images, say, a series of sequent screenshot. Now I am rather afraid, that this "bug" may be somehow fixed in some new version.
 
However it will be fine to get this "bug" as a feature. At the first, one can be sure, that his option will remain forever and will not be lost since some version. At  the second, a user would get a control of this bugfeature in order to call it every time, when it is needed - and not when he does not need it.
 
Could you please consider adding this option intentionally as a splendid unique  feature of Hypersnap?
