Windows 7 licensing during installation

Save your license key as ASCII text file named HprSnap7.hs7lic. Put it into the same folder, from which your run HyperSnap 7 installer (HS7Setup.exe) - this will install both the product and its license when you run HS7Setup.exe.
If you have trouble with your license key, contact us by email.
 

Again, my instructions above refer to the situation when you install HyperSnap 7 on a computer by running HS7Setup.exe. The license file must be named exactly this: HprSnap7.hs7lic, and must be in the same folder, where HS7Setup.exe is, _before_ running HS7Setup.exe.
 
You may also manually copy HprSnap7.hs7lic to the final destination folder, where HprSnap7.exe was installed. This will also make the program on the computer licensed. If this does not work for some reason, it may be that your HprSnap7.hs7lic file is incorrect.

OK, sorry about this, I tested it now and looks like this feature stopped working. Some debugging will be needed. You could still use some admin script to copy the HprSnap7.hs7lic to the destination folder in the meantime.

I now fixed this, if you still need this feature, please re-download HyperSnap 7 from our server and use the new HS7Setup.exe thus downloaded. Thank you!

Are you using maybe the German version of the latest HyperSnap 7? I just verified all builds, and indeed in the German build this does not work, going to fix it now. In English, French and Russian builds I tested, it correctly copies HprSnap7.hs7lic from the dir from where HS7Setup.exe (or HS7SetFR.exe etc.) is run, to the final destination directory, and the product is licensed on the first try.
Should take no longer than 1 hour from the time of this post for me to upload a fixed German build as well.

I only asked about the use of German version, because it was the only one with the bug left on the server. It's fixed now too. Right now I tested this again, by downloading HS7Setup.exe from this web site first, then putting both the files (HS7Setup.exe and HprSnap7.hs7lic) into the same folder and running the installer from there. In both cases it did install the license file correctly. Repeated twice, for HS7Setup.exe downloaded from both my servers, to make sure that one of them did not have the old, buggy version. Worked each time. I really don't know what is different at your end...
 
Maybe contact me by email instead, and attach your license file (HprSnap7.hs7lic) to the email as file attachment, I'll see if there is something wrong with that file...

The next step, I guess, would be to connect by Skype with screen sharing, to see exactly what and how you do, and try to figure out a solution - if you want to go that far...

I just tested it by installing from a network drive (existing on another computer), first with share name Z:, then removed that share name and also tested executing \\server_name\directory\HS7Setup.exe. In both cases the license was installed correctly. Maybe the directory from which you install has some restricted permissions, e.g. "execute" permission (or HS7Setup.exe would not execute), but no "read" permission?
