Can't capture HyperSnap?

I wanted to take a screenshot of some of HyperSnap's capture settings (in particular, HS's ability to paste each capture onto the previous one, either horizontally or vertically), but to my surprise I could not.  At first I thought perhaps my hotkey settings had gotten screwed up, but I couldn't use the menu, either.  And as soon as I stopped trying to capture HyperSnap and tried to capture something else, the hotkeys worked fine.  So is it the case that I can't use HyperSnap to take a screenshot of HyperSnap?  Seems a shame not to be able to boast about HS with illustrations.

It has been almost two weeks, and my message has received no response.  If it's the case that I can't use HyperSnap to take screenshots of its features, I'd appreciate knowing that that's the case.  If it turns out that I should be able to do this, I'd like to investigate what's wrong with my setup.  Either way, as a long-time user and fan of HyperSnap, I'd appreciate a response.

When HyperSnap displays some "modal dialog box" (a smaller window that disables the main HyperSnap window under it, the hot keys are turned off to prevent software conflicts. You could start another copy of HyperSnap and use the 2nd copy to capture the first or the other way round. To enable running multiple copies of HyperSnap, you would need to edit the shortcut used to start HyperSnap and add -newwin command line option to it. There is more info on this at:

Thanks very much, Greg, for your helpful response.  As I said in my initial post, it wasn't just that the hotkeys didn't work.  I also tried to use the HyperSnap menu, but that too did not work.  But your reply gives me what I need to do what I wanted to do.  Many thanks.
