One function I would like to see introduced which is available in the freeware Shotty program, is the ability to change the Aero glass colour without changing the theme colour.

This function works well and saves having to change your own theme to get a different look.

Hm. Not a good idea to use undocumented system features. People get used to it, and then Microsoft changes something and the author faces a sea of complains...

Well, that's fair enough because of the undocumented feature part although the feature currently works flawlessly. It's just a bit of a shame because I'm finding myself using Shotty more and more to capture screenshots with the Aero colour changer and also its ability to easily capture non rectangular windows. Hoping these can possibly be added sometime in the future.....

Hm. Actually it's just as easy this way:
- right-click empty Windows 7 desktop and choose "Personalize"
- click Window Color button at the bottom of "Personalization" window that appears
- click any of the customized colors and the destkop changes temporarily. You may also enable or disable transparency and change color intensity if you want.
- now make your screen capture with _any_ program. You may minimize the personalization window if you don't want it on the screen.
- when done with capture, restore the "Personalization" window and click "Cancel" button to restore your original colors to the desktop.

Thanks, already knew that. It's just so much quicker and easier having the program do it for you. Can't have everything I guess....

I will consider this feature, particularly if more users post their support here, for a future release of HyperSnap 7. Thanks!
