When I hold down the shift key and press down the mouse left button and drag the mouse

Dear All,
My hypersnap version is 6.90.04
When I hold down the shift key and press down the mouse left button and drag the mouse, HYPERSNAP will capture.
(For example, I draw a horizontal line in the MSPAINT : hold down the shift key and press down the mouse left button and drag the mouse)

 How to cancel this function?

Thanks very much.

    Hello hubeihepeng,
you are experiencing a feature of the TextSnap function.
Please see TextSnap - Hotkeys. You see several checkboxes for special keys.
So if only Shift-key is enabled, you will have your effect. If you hold down Shift key (or one of the combinations) and only press the left mouse button, HS may or may not show a rectangle within the window where the cursor is positioned.
It does not always show this rectangle.
If you move the mousepointer, the crosshair appears and you can capture text within the rectangle. A second mouseclick finishes the capture and puts the text into the HyperSnap working area.
Please note: This only works with TextSnap and TextSnap only works, if the program is supported. So you may not see a result with a new FireFox or IE.
If you deactivate the checkboxes in the TextSnap Hotkey section, the effect will not appear again.

    Dear TomD101,
    thanks for your help.

I from menu "textsnap" ---> "textsnap settings"
    deactive "Plain text capture"
    deactive "formatted text (RTF) capture"

I from menu "textsnap" ---> "textsnap hotkeys"
I already deactive "enable hot keys"  (remove the hook in the front of "enable hot keys")
    But this phenomenon still exists.

Whether or not still need to set other settings?
    Thanks.

    Hello hubeihepeng,
I am sorry, but you made two mistakes.
It is not necessary to deactivate plain text and formatted text. Please reactivate them to capture text.
in "textsnap" ---> "textsnap hotkeys" you disabled the wrong checkbox. Now you don't have any textsnap shortkeys at all. Please reactivate it.
Go to textsnap" ---> "textsnap hotkeys and look at the message box. In the upper half you see four entries in one row with checkboxes.
    shift - strg - alt - windows
You have to remove the entries in the checkboxes in front of these keys. Then your problem should be gone.
    Good luck

Let me explain this once again:

    1. Click "TextSnap" menu at the top of HyperSnap 6 window, then click "TextSnap Hot Keys... on the menu that appears.
    2. On the "TextSnap HotKeys" box that appears, click as on the image below:

    3. Click "Close" button and all should be well after this.

Finally knowing the cause of the problem
I installed a  name is "YOUDAO" electronic dictionary (http://Cidian.youdao.com/)
This software has a "Screen Translation" function
(Capture Characters from Screen and translation)
    When I exit the software
    HYPERSNAP no problem

    Thanks

Great, thank you for telling us about this. We did not think that other software could interfere like this! I'm glad that you were able to solve the problem on your own.
