In HyperSnap 8, click Capture ribbon tab, click "Capture settings" button near right, click "Quick Save" tab. Enable (at least temporarily, if you don't want to use it all time) the option "Automatically save each capture to a file". Define the file name and format there, and the numbering scheme you want to use. Then also enable "Use the above naming for new captures even if not auto saving" option. Now, if you do not want to auto-save each capture, turn off the option on top to "Automatically save..." and click OK.
Now the new captures and File menu - Save command will use this new name and numbering. Alt+S by default is not defined as a shortcut for File/Save command, but if you want, you may define such shortcut yourself - click "Hot keys" button on the Capture ribbon tab - "Customize Keyboard" button, then under "Category and Command" header choose "File" category and "Save" command. Then click into "Press New Shortcut Key" field and press Alt+S key combination, then click "Assign" button, "Close".
