Hypercam Screen Area glitch

Whenever I try to set an area of the screen to record, Hypercam zooms into the Top-Left corner of my screen and won't allow me to capture any other part of the screen. How do I fix this problem?

HyperCam 2 is old software and not well supported under newer versions of Windows. See if rebooting the computer would fix the problem, if not consider other software, maybe HyperCam 3 or 4 from SolveigMultimedia, or other screen recorders.

I don't really have many other options, since I can't pay for a newer version of Hypercam, and don't want to risk downloading them. It can't be a problem with my OS,  because I have a different PC with the same OS and it works perfectly on that. Are there any possible fixes?

I don't have a fix, because HyperCam 2 was written for Windows XP, and now we are several software generations after it. I no longer update or maintain HyperCam 2.
