You are right, it is not very difficult to press a mouse button. However my problem, that I often forgot to make this extra click, so I need press than several other keys to undo last result and than start again from the same point.
Could you please regard adding an option in HS settings to let a user choose which of the two behavior pattern, the old or the new (current) one he prefers?

Sigh. When it was the way you want originally, others complained and wanted it the way it's now. There is an easy way to switch back to select mode - just right-click on the image area (but not on any shape).

Currently if you select some image tool, HyperSnap will continue using it as default till you manually select another one.
Say now you select the tool [Add Text] and write and save a textbox. Than if you move the mouse focus to another place and select a new rectangle area, it will create new text boxes again and again.

But actually in the most of cases I (and surely some other users) do not need use the same tool repeatedly, but we would rather prefer to select some default tool (mode). Say I will assign the tool [Rectangular Selection] as my default tool. In this event when after creating a textbox I select a new rectangular area, it will be a rectangular selection and not another textbox.

Please provide this additional data:
Exact HyperSnap version in use (from Help/About menu): 7.15.01
Windows version in use: XP SP-2
