Hi Greg -

Unfortunately, the product is Panasonic proprietary, requires special licensing, training, and certification to use it. I couldn't send it to anyone without permission.

No. TextSnap work for applications that use the standard Windows API to draw text when window contents is refreshed. It was true for over 95% of apps when TextSnap was introduced. These days it's less and less apps, as the programming evolves and a multitude of different programming techniques are used in creating apps. If you have a specific app that I could download and test, maybe I can still find a fix to make it work with TextSnap, but can't guarantee it.

Hi - I was probably using Safari, which is my default browser.

Also, I didn't realize that Textsnap only works in browsers, as opposed to ordinary apps. I don't think the website says that and my primary reason for buying Hypersnap was to pull screenshots and text from programs I have to run to do telephone system maintenance. These programs are Windows-7, Vista, and XP compliant and I thought that would be sufficient. But, in answers I've read to my post (and others) it seems the focus for Hypersnap functionality is on browsers and first and foremost IE. Is that correct?

I'm really not sure what could be the problem. When you say you tried the paragraph from this web page, which web browser you were using? TextSnap works reliably with Internet Explorer 9. With Firefox there are problems (you need to have the latest HyperSnap 7 Firefox add-on installed and turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox). With Google Chrome TextSnap does not work and never worked.

Hi -

I can snap text from under the cursor, but, if I try to snap text from a region, I get nothing in the clipboard. First I assumed this was an issue with the proprietary software whose screen(s) I was trying to snap (a phone system maintenance program from Panasonic). So I tried snapping some text from an OpenOffice document. Same result.

I just tried to textsnap the paragraph above. Same result.

ANy ideas.

Exact HyperSnap version in use (from Help/About menu): 7.12.01______
Windows version in use: 7 home premium, 64-bit______
