The uninstaller for HyperSnap 6 and HyperSnap 7 is a small program named HprUnInst.exe in the same folder where the product is installed. If you want a "silent" installation, without any prompt, add -s command line switch to it.

I know I am killing you, but everything so far has worked like a charm. I'm trying to get an uninstall package to work, but putting in the common switches (-u or -uninst) doesn't do the trick. Can you point me in the right direction please.... Thanks again for the great support.

It did install a desktop shortcut, we prefer not to have shortcuts. I looked in the ini file, but only reference to "shortcut" was Shortcut Keys. Do you know what I would need to change in the .ini so we don't get the Desktop shortcut icon? Thanks in advance.

To install HyperSnap 7 silently, execute its setup file, HS7Setup.exe with -s comman line option. Additionally, if you want to install your license at the same time, put your license file (ASCII text file named HprSnap7.hs7lic) into the same folder where the installer, HS7Setup.exe is, before running the installer.

If you want to customize the default setting the end user will see upon the first execution of HyperSnap 7, first install HyperSnap 7 on any machine and configure it the way you want to be the default. Then use "Setup" ribbon tab, or "Options" menu if using menu interface, "Save CFG" button to save the configuration to a text file named HprSnap7.ini. Put this file into the same folder where the installer and license are, before running the installer, and it will install the options/settings together with the program and license on the target machine.

How can I install HyperSnap 7 silently on a network, I can't seem to find the .ini file referenced above. HprSnap7 .tlb is there, but I am unfamiliar with how to edit a file of this type. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I can vouch for this method (using both INI and hs6lic files). I'm continually building and rebuilding test machines, and I have a little batch file that uses the appropriate .ini file according to whether it's a physical machine or a virtual machine. (All my VMs use a slightly different set of hot keys from physical machines to ensure I don't hit a conflict if I'm logged into the physical host.) The batch file also creates a mapped drive letter if it isn't there, pointing back to my shared directory where captures are put. The .ini file has all the right capture settings for my environment, including the fast save directory that actually points to the mapped drive. The whole thing saves me both time and frustration from when I used to do manual installs on each machine.

They are stored under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyperionics\HyperSnap 6\Keys

However the easier way to do this would be to use a file named HprSnap6.ini saved from an existing installation of HyperSnap where you set all keys and other options the way you need. You can save such file through Options/Save Configuration menu of an installed copy of HyperSnap 6. Then simply put together into one directory (or network share folder, or a CD-R media or USB media) the setup file HS6Setup.exe and HprSnap6.ini. Add there possibly also your license key in a file named HprSnap6.hs6lic. Now if the setup is started from this location, it will copy the settings from the INI file, and it will also automatically install the license key.

I need to set the capture keys for Entire Page with Scrolling to NONE using the registry keys associated with it. I need to do this programatically after installing the program.
Could you please tell which registry keys that I need to change?
