Voice quality has changed when changing pitch

Hi,
I like to use Google wavenet voices and create mp3 audio books. After some time it was time to create new books [Slovak language, there is only one voice], I changed a pitch to 0.80 which sounds better, but I discovered it sounds different then some months ago, it used to be more smooth and easier to listen.
I tried to find other app with this feature and discovered when I change pitch there, it sounds different then with Voice Aloud Reader. So I don't think it is a Google problem. Has anything changed recently?

    The voices are not my products. I only send the text of each sentence to the TTS engine (or the server for cloud voices) plus the parameters (e.g. how to configure speed, pitch etc.) and they generate the voice. I do not modify the voice generated by Google or other providers.
