manually adding to @Voice folder on Google Drive

Using chrome browser "add to @voice list" extension works fine and with reading list menu "Add from Google Drive" option. 
 
I did some testing with "@Voice" Gdrive folder and option on reading list menu "Add from Google Drive". I uploaded some ".url" files via https://drive.google.com/ (in browser) to "@Voice" Gdrive folder. I used "Text Editor for Google Drive" on Gdrive to edit a ".url" file and save as a new ".url" file. The files are not detected when I use "Add from Google Drive". Does a regular ".url" created using Windows work if I manually put it in "@Voice" Gdrive folder?
 
I tried the option "Reset sync with Google Drive" AND "also reset last sync time" but the latter did not refresh the old files or new files I copy and edited on drive.
 
I did some testing with getting ".url" files via the "folder with cloud icon" then navigating to "@Voice" Gdrive folder. How do I refresh the Google drive folder's file list it is over 2 days old?

    The .url files that @Voice plugin for Chrome Browser places in the @Voice folder on Google Drive, are special proprietary format, and they contain text like this:

    If you want, you may create similarly formatted files yourself and upload them to @Voice folder on Google Drive, then the "Add from Google Drive" function on @Voice app's Rading List screen will work. You may also upload to that folder regular files for reading aloud (e.g. *.html, *.txt, *.doc, *.epub, *.pdf), or you may upload a .csv file with http links, one per line, and the app will also handle this correctly. The CSV files work best with linkKlipper add-on for desktop Chrome browser, you may check it out, it may turn useful if you want to add a lot of links from one web page (e.g. an online book chapter list or something similar)
