Not shutting down: sleep timer

Hi All, my problem, over several devices is; Sleep Timer shuts off voice, BUT, doesn't Exit program. Hence battery is used until the morning when I manually shut app down. Battery stats show 10+hrs use, sleep timer set at 45 minutes.
Not yet checked processor usage.

Other than that, great app which has helped me, a Stroke Victim, immensely.

    Thank you, will investigate, although it seems to exit fully here on my phone. Will try to improve if possible, in the next version.

    Thanks for the reply.
    Yesterday I stopped notification to see if that made a difference.
    Alas I still had 11hrs with 3% active battery use. 0% background use.
    Motorola g8 plus.

    I really don't understand what you mean by 11 hours with 3% active battery use. If the app (any app) is doing _any_ work at all, it has to use the battery. The 3% use was probably used when the app was working, reading aloud, or doing anything else (e.g. viewing the text on the screen). If you stop reading and lock the screen, @Voice app is not using energy, or maybe very little, depending on Android system internals.
