Voice pitch and rate not saved

The voice pitch and tone only work in the example. The normal voice does not change at all. I tried changing the Voice Settings to be per Voice, per Language, and Global, but no change. I only get the standard robotic voice.

I have a Moto G4 with everything updated to the newest.

Also, the setting to only read the clipboard with headphones on causes it to read even without headphones. A little problematic when I try to copy and paste in public.

@Voice app does not use normally the system settings for TTS voice. Instead in @Voice app, expand the bottom control panel (round button at bottom right) and use the "Rate", "Pitch" sliders to adjust speed and pitch, or press "Change voice or language" button to select a different voice.

Yes, that is what I am talking about. The app's voice settings. I changed the app's voice settings, but I only hear the change in the test example. When I have the @Voice app read any other text, it uses the original voice pitch and speed that has not been modified.

Did you press "Use selected voice" button at bottom right, after selecting the voice in @Voice app? It usually works well on all devices I tried, so I'm not sure what else could be wrong. Also selecting e.g. a voice for English language will not have effect if you read text in another language, e.g. French, Spanish, Russian etc. For each language you need to select the voice separately.

There is no "Use Selected Voice" button anywhere. Everything is set to English. Just tell me where I need to set everything and I can take screenshots to show you how it looks here.

If you have relatively small screen, or set big fonts, the "Use selected voice" button may be below the lower edge of screen - just scroll the screen content up to see it. Again, first enter the voice selector by expanding the bottom control panel in @Voice app by pressing the round button at bottom-right. Then press "Change voice or language". Make sure voice is set to English (or any other language you need), then select the voice below, then if necessary scroll the content up by sliding finger vertically up, press "Use selected voice" button.

Ok, now I got it. The up arrow button on the bottom right of the copied text screen. I didn't even know that was a menu. That one works - it changes the pitch and rate. Thank you.

The menu settings in the upper right do not change the pitch and rate.
