From the Hyperionics website it gives multiple download links for HyperCam and states that the download file is 843 kb in size. All download links yield a file named HC2Setup.exe of only 154 kb from www.hyperionics.com.

However, when this file is "Run", it aks to install HC2Setup.exe form Somotu Ltd. This installs only a file called abckids.zip to the desktop.

What am I doing wrong????

Please provide this additional data:
Exact HyperCam version in use (on the License tab): cannot install!!!
Windows version in use: XP SP3

Actually that small installer downloads the rest of HyperCam 2 setup from our web site, hyperionics.com and installs it. If you want to opt out of the toolbar offers the small one presents, just de-select these offers and click the "Next >" button.

the ("Better")-installer for the 64bit version tries to download "HyperCam2.26.00" from a wrong not existing link ("http://hyperionics.com/downloads/hc2pvt/HC2Set64Pvt.exe")!!!
here are the correct ones for 32bit and 64bit (these links are the direct links to the application without all the BetterInstaller/Babylon/Incredibar/Somoto/Montiera/Toolbar)

for 32 bit:
http://hyperionics.com/do...hc2pvt/HC2SetupPvt.exe

for 64 bit:
http://hyperionics.com/do...2pvt/HC2Setup64Pvt.exe  (EDIT: now it is back to http://hyperionics.com/do...hc2pvt/HC2Set64Pvt.exe )

I am very annoyed about the installer. the 64bit version is not working proper and in my case it downloads a bunch of other programs an installs them without finishing the installation of HyperCam ...
(BetterInstaller.exe, incredibar_installer.exe, MyBabylonTB.exe, montiera.com, StartPage & Search to "http://mystart.incredimail.com/" in Browser, ... is all that stuff really necessary?)

Sorry about this, I corrected the problem with 64-bit installer now. If you don't want the extra offers, simply de-select them before clicking "Install".

sure, but on my system the installer wasn't finding the file to download, so there was a popup-message with a choice cancel or retry... on retry the installer never finished, and on cancel the installer was installing all that "X" stuff without a chance to de-select the "extra offers" ...
so, at that time i didn't got a HyperCam program installed, but instead i got a bunch of programs on my computer i not wanted and my settings of InternetExplorer and FireFox were changed. it was hard to deinstall every thing, reconstruct my start-pages and search-page in the browser and figure out why the installer was not working. that was the annoying part - somebody should test, how the installer reacts if for some reason a resource is not available.

anyhow... now i got HypeCam2 installed and got it running, and i am happy with it.

oh, and thank you for the very quick response.
