Drawing Mode/Tool always defaults

Hi!
 
I have been using HyperSnap quite a long time now... but then had to take a break. Slowly, I am trying to use it again more regularly now but have quite a problem:
 
I can't seem to find a way of making the selected Drawing Mode and Drawing Tool sticky... that means, after each new capture, the View and Shape Selection Mode plus Shape Editing Mode are selected, no matter what I had selected before.
 
I'd like to stick to Direct Drawing Mode plus Rectangle for example because I have to make quite a few screenshots and edit them afterwards. I am not sure whether I have forgotten an option or if there is any other solution... Can anyone help please? :)

Exact HyperSnap version in use (from Help/About menu): 7.13.04
Windows version in use: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
