On occassion see message the IE has stopped working.  Have not traced it specifically to HyperSnap but can verify that each time I see the message I do have HyperSnap running.

From the Event Log, I am finding the following [can't say specifically it is the EXACT same moment in time] but it's close:

Faulting application name: iexplore.exe, version: 8.0.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce79912
Faulting module name: HSTxtCap.dll, version: 1.0.4.0, time stamp: 0x4e283784
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00002552
Faulting process id: 0x368
Faulting application start time: 0x01cc6a3fc5ef7f2f
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\HyperSnap 7\HSTxtCap.dll

You could disable the TextSnap feature in HyperSnap 7 (under TextSnap tab of HyperSnap 7 ribbon) to prevent this - remove check marks there for "plain text", "formatted" and "tab delimited'. If you could identify more closely which operations cause the crash so that I could reproduce them, I could probably find a fix for it in the code.

Thanks Greg.  I'll let you know if I am able to narrow it down to anything specific

Greg,
My steps were as follows:
1.  I have Firefox open and use the add-in to launch Hypersnap.
2. Start a Web application from Visual Studio, it starts IE (my default browser).
3. Region Capture [Ctrl+Shift+R]
4. Close IE [I used the "X"], only 1 tab was open so no prompt on which tab(s) to close.
5. "Internet Explorer Has Stopped Working" appears.

I'm trying the same steps here, but no success in crashing IE... Started HyperSnap 7 from Firefox as well, then from Visual Studio 2010 started a local web app - an icon appears in the system tray saying "ASP.NET development server - Port (some number)". I do one or several region captures with Ctrl+Shift+R, then close IE9 window with no problems. maybe it's an issue with different versions of Windows, Visual Studio, the settings of VS project. Too many possible variables...
