Capture Problems

I've been using HS for many years on many different machines and never had a problem until now.
 
I'm using 8.12.02 on Win7 on a new laptop and when I first installed it, it worked as expected, but now, I am unable to do a capture if HS is minimized to the tray.  
 
The only way I can do a capture is to open HS on top of what I want to grab and perform the appropriate key sequence (Alt-Shift-W, for example).  I'd really like to get the default behavior back - kind of feels like a config setting, but I can't figure out which one.
 
I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but no change.

    Seems like you have turned off hot keys. There is a check-box "Hotkeys on" on the "Capture" ribbon tab - put a check-mark back there.
