Corner Effects

Been using HyperSnap for more than 10 years and already purchased more than 1 license :) I would like to suggest to include rounded corner effects that is found in WinSnap. http://www.ntwind.com/software/winsnap.html Their Shadow Effect also looks way better than HyperSnap.

Hello Raymond, HyperSnap 7 does include a function to draw different shapes, including rectangles with rounded corners... See the "Edit" tab of HyperSnap 7 ribbon. Also, if you use Capture - Window (and click the title bar of selected window to capture it all) function, it will capture a window in its true shape, including rounded corners of any window... The corners are filled with your default "background color for captures", which you can make completely transparent by setting "Opacity" for that color to 0 - you do this on "Capture Settings" box. You may also customize HyperSnap 7 shadow by setting it's direction, size, darkness, diffusion any way you want. You may do this on the "Image" tab of the ribbon, by clicking the "Shadow" button. Thanks for the reply Greg. I am very familiar with HyperSnap like I said I've used it for 10 years already. The effects created by HyperSnap is no where near WinSnap. Some examples of effects from WinSnap. Multi-Object Capture Modes Screenshot captured using HyperSnap and added Shadow. Screenshot captured using WinSnap and by default the shadows are added. As you can see the shadows creates by WinSnap is way better looking than HyperSnap.

I found some glitches in the software to fix - download the newer version of HyperSnap a little bit later today (ver. 7.13.05) to have these changes. Important though - first use "Capture Settings" dialog to set the "Opacity" of the "Default background color for captures" to 0 (all the way left) to capture and shadow correctly the round corners. After the fix I'm getting these - I captured shadow dialog itself to show parameters used: Smaller "shadow size", as if the lamp was almost above the center of the dialog: Almost the same as above, but less diffusion: Greg

Updated, tested and looks good! One more issue though which is it includes the background items. See the notepad titlebar... Not really a big issue though but I'll have to run notepad and put the window that I want to take the screenshot inside it so that it doesn't include the background.

Hello raymond, please go to Capture Settings - Capture and check the option "Remove transparency of backgrund with Vista". See, if this solves your problem. Thomas, lesser admin.
