I don't understand - what exactly is not working? Your image does not explain anything... And which version of HyperCam exactly you are using?
Please include exact step by step instructions on how to reproduce the problem.

I have the same problem here are some more details so hopefully it will help you out.

Hypercam version 2.25.01 - I have only recently downloaded it and have also checked for updates etc

I am running Windows 7 64 bit. What you are seeing in the post by Beach40 is what I see when ever I use Hypercam.
I will choose the entire screensize for the recording of the video 1908  x 1080
All other settings are left as default.
I will then press record and hypercam will minimise to the task bar. At the end of the recording I will maximise hypercam and hit stop followed by play.
I have run a number of "test" type videos opening up a menu or program etc.
The audio works fine - and my voice is played back clearly.
The video however is a small square in the middle of the player - I have tried multiple players in case it was a probleem at that end.
In 90% of videos all I am getting is a static image - if I use the start menu then that will be displayed in the shot - but no movement - just the one static image - even though my voice can clearly be heard as I describe opening up control panel for example.

I am just wondering if it was a change in the program as I last used this program around 12 months ago - and earlier version obviously and apart from a problem with sound lagging on occassions have found it a very stable and useful program

Is there any other details you require?
I am using a DELL laptop with built in audio and video 6GM of Ram and about 150GB of spare HDD space

Still not enough details: are you using a 32-bit or 64-bit verison of HyperCam? What are the exact settings on the AVI File and Sound tabs, when you make this recording?

The problem may be with the video compressor (codec) selected - did you try other codecs? It may be also that the machine is too slow to record so many frames per second of that size. Did you try recording smaller frames and/or at a lower frame rate to eliminete this possibility?

I just tried recording 10 fps of 1920x1200 pixels with sound on my Windows 7, 64-bit - with the 32-bit version of HyperCam. All worked well and the video plays well. I have the fastest Dell laptomp M6600 with the fastest processor available at this time, 16 GB RAM and over 1 TB in solid state disks. Beyond processor and RAM speed, the speed of hard disk write operations will be the largest limiting factor here.
Also: just repeated the same test with 64-bit version of HyperCam - worked equally well.

Hi Greg

Thanks for the quick response...64 bit version and here are the settings...

edit: looks like the images didnt post - but default settings of auto select for video codec and 10 frames per second

Sound is default sound device 2-stereo 16 bit

As mentioned I am trying using all default settings - as I have done in the past....

I have tried a number of different settings for video and sound and still no dice..

Have not tried slower frame rate - will give that a try now

I really suggest trying to record a smaller screen area and/or lower frame rate. The machine may not be fast enough to capture, compress and save 10 frames per second of this size.
