Colored Icons and Settings Location

(1) I hate Win10-ugly icons in my system tray.  How can I replace HyperSnap8's Win10-ugly icon with a standard, colored icon (eg. from HyperSnap6 or just HS8's standard, TaskBar icon -- which is colored).

(2) For security reasons, I revert to a known-good, full-system backups on a regular basis.  This kind of nearly-fool-proof security process requires the ability to manually save/restore the settings files for selected apps.  Where are HyperSnap8's settings stored?  I searched C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming, which is the standard location for setting files, as well as other locations, but found nothing.

    Hi,
you can change the icon that HyperSnap 8 shows in its title bar and the tray icon on the "Setup" ribbon tab, under the "Icon" button (3rd column of buttons, bottom). See if you can find there something that you like better...

HyperSnap 8 settings are saved in the system registry, which you may edit with RegEdit app on Windows. They are under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyperionics\HyperSnap 8 registry key. There are also buttons described as "Save CFG" and "Read CFG", on the Setup ribbon tab. They export and import all these settings from the registry to a file and the other way.
