The Repeat button has a third state that is redundant; and it should be removed

Select settings > Screen and sleep timer settings, and turn on the Show Repeat button in the bottom control bar check box. A new button is added to the bottom bar.
 
This button has three states:
  1. No repeat
  2. Repeat
  3. Repeat once (a "1" overlay appears on the button) 
There is no difference between "repeat and repeat once", so this third state is redundant, and it should be removed.
 
On the other hand, this button could be made to cycle through four states
  1. No repeat
  2. Repeat each line x times
    (honors the "repeat each line x times" setting in Settings > Screen and sleep timer settings menu)
  3. Repeat paragraphs
  4. Repeat chapters

    Repeat with little 1 number is to repeat the current article or book chapter. The other repeat state, without the 1 number, is to repeat the whole reading list of articles (or the whole book), so it's not redundant. There is also "Shuffle" state with arrows crossing, which repeats the articles on the reading list in random order.
     
    There is also a possibility to repeat reading each sentence, but it's not available on that button. You may configure sentence repeating under @Voice Settings menu - Speech settings - PAUSES tab (at the bottom). There is no line repeating nor paragraph repeating, and I have no plans to implement them.

    Yes, I found the line repeat function in the settings, as mentioned in my first post.
