Rephrase "Delay before pausing speech, when other sounds are played" control

While @Voice is reading text, if there is a system sound, the interrupted sentence is repeated, after a hold-off delay.
This delay can be set. The control used for this setting is labeled as "Delay before pausing speech, when other sounds are played".

Many users would have a difficulty in understanding this label correctly.

It can be re-labeled as follows:
If a sentence is interrupted by the phone, repeat it after a delay of ___ ms.
(e.g. a notification, a phone call)

This label fits the actual function.

Your description is also not accurate... Let's say you set this time to 1 second. What would actually happen then, when a the system plays e.g. a notification sound that is shorter than 1 second, the app would be reading anyway and both sound (reading aloud and notification sound) would be heard together. If the notification sound is say 2 seconds long, your would hear both for 1 second, then the app would stop reading aloud and you would here only the rest (1 sec.) of the notification sound, then it would resume reading from the start of the interrupted sentence.

In my opinion, "Delay before pausing speech, when other sounds are played" says exactly this. If you have a better way of saying this in a brief phrase, please share and I will adopt it.

    Oh I see!

Now I understand that @Voice ignores short duration sounds, but pauses for longer interruptions, and then repeats the sentence.

Actually, I didn't pay attention to that part, because I was habituated with my music players, which always lower their volume when a system notification sounds. But they pause when a call (GSM/WhatsApp) comes. They do not repeat the interrupted song.

So, @Voice offered a better experience by repeating the interrupted sentence, and I never paid any attention to the overlapping notification sounds because I get that in my music players all the time!

Ok, so for the given functionality, I would suggest:
Ignore short-duration system sounds, till  ___ ms.
    (notification, call, etc).
(Pause and repeat sentence for longer interruptions.)
