Problem: "sat" is pronounced "Saturday"

I have just updated the app, and using the "change voice" function to edit the word doesn't change how the software treats it. Also, the first c in "currency" is pronounced "s".
Where can I change these, please? Both English UK and English US.
(Edit: the problem existed before I updated via Google Play. It wasn't caused by the upfate, I just wanted to clarify the app version)

Probably you have errors in your speech replacements, they change the words in an unintended way. Please disable ALL speech replacements that you have entered, and test reading aloud. It should work fine. If you want, you may then try re-enabling your replacements one by one and test each time (in the full reader, not with the test button on the "Edit speech" screen), until you find the problematic items and either delete or fix them. Remember that the replacements are applied from top to bottom, so for example the second replacement on the list is trying to match to the text already modified by the first one, etc.

Unfortunately after disabling all the edit speech words, and restarting the app, the problem remains.

Which problem _exactly_? @Voice does not generate speech by itself at all, it just sends the text to the TTS engine and voice you selected to make sound. If some English TTS voice does not say some words the way you expect - change the voice. Please press the round button with up arrow near bottom-right, then press the “Change voice or language” button. Select the voice there. You may also download or buy more voices from Google Play store, e.g. Vocalizer TTS, Acapela TTS and many more.

The problem of sat = saturday and words like currency = surrency
It's new, though, which is why I asked here.
Will look for a new voice, thank you.

sat - saturday - update Google Text-to-speech app to the latest version and start using it when you have a good WiFi connection, to let them download the latest voice data. I tested many Google voices here, sat to saturday no longer happens. "Surrency" - I have never heard this with any voices. Maybe update of Google TTS will fix it, or use other, non-Google voices.
