Thumbnails stacked on left side

I used to have thumbnails of screen captures stacked up vertically on the left side, but I must've done something to make that go away because now all I can do is cascade or whatever. How can I get back to what I had originally? Thank you!

    Grab the Thumbnails window by its title bar (where it says "Thumbnails" at the top of that window) and holding the left mouse button move the window all the way to the left edge of HyperSnap window, until it "docks" itself there, release the mouse.
