"Add text" is slow

Hi, Adding text to an image is very slow, it takes about 5 seconds for "Edit text box" to show up, and when i write, the text is updated in slow motion in the text field. (I'ts the same without "update text immediately")
I'm using Windows 10 and the latest version og HyperSnap  (64)

    I don't see such problem on any machine where I test, and no other users reported similar trouble. Something must be different on that particular computer. Please first try to reboot it and test again. If that does not help, you could try to uninstall/reinstall HyperSnap, but I doubt it will change anything. Most probably some other, 3rd party software is interfering, but it's impossible to tell for me which. The only way would be trial and error - uninstall the most suspect products, reboot, test... The most suspect would be system utilities that promise to change to something better the default system actions (e.g. text editing, positioning of windows...) It could be also a faulty driver (maybe display driver) - I would check the web sites of the computer maker to see if they have any updates for such drivers.

    ok, I knew the problem was on my computer.. it is a company pc and i have many limitations in my rights (I can install programs but not uninstall them, for uninstalling then we need to contact help desk). So I just wanted to check if someone have had the same problem, so it will be easier to contact the help desk if I know the paycheck ..

    I experience the same on Win7. After creating a text box it takes about 3 full seconds for the 'Edit Text' dialog to appear.

    I really don't know what could cause this. The only suggestion I can offer is to check if you can update the graphics driver on this computer, maybe the one currently installed has a bug that causes this delay.

    I'm not sure if this is the same issue or a new one, but as of this morning the program hangs after adding a text box. The 'Edit Text' box does not appear even after several minutes and HyperSnap shows as "Not Responding". I tried many times, restarted Hypersnap, and restarted my computer. I was using 8.16.15 and then to 8.16.16 without success.
     
    It's possible this function was clobbered by a recent (Windows) update. However, the text-box functionality still works in a similar program.

    I really don't know what causes it, but this text in the "Problem signature" seems significant:
     
    Waiting on Application Name: spoolsv.exe:spoolss
     
    I entered this text into a search engine, and a lot of results come up complaining that spoolsv process hangs different apps. Solutions seem to be stopping and restarting this process/service, checking for malware infections, and more. Try yourself or read this one: "Spooler Service Hangs other Applications.     These posts are pretty old, from 2011, 2012... But it may be that an old bug is showing its ugly head as well...
