Bug/Issue with unexplainably long loading times

i would like to either report bug or describe a (possibly unique) issue i currently experience since the latest update on the 16.04.2018
first some general information:
i have a Galaxy S7.
i use the @Voice app exclusively for reading .txt files in russian or english i make myself via Notepad++.
the files contain stories from fanfiction.net downloaded with fanfictiondownloader.net app. the stories get downloaded as a basic .txt file and then cleaned with Notepad++ of all the garbage artifacts authors like to include (like spacers, commentaries, author notes and excessive punctuation).
the resulting files, depending on the length of the story range from 600kb to 10mb (was the biggest i have with over 1.2mil words), averaging at about 1-1.5 Mb
this setup worked wonderfully for me for the past year.
loading times of selecting new file from folder were up to a max of 10 seconds after which all further functions of the UI would be access able. 2-3 seconds load time was the average. the same applied to changing "Parts" within one file.
 
however starting with the new update Ver. 14.0.3 that came out on 16.04. these loading times increased a 100 fold!!
now on the same files (unchanged from previous use) that previously took 2-5 seconds to load, now take up to 100 seconds!
at some loading times i get a standard notice "this app stopped responding, would you like to Close app, Wait, Report an issue"
after several times pressing the wait the file finally finished loading and i can start listening.
the same length of time i have to wait for changing "Parts" in files.
 
i already tried rebooting my mobile several times.
i already uninstalled the app, and installed it again (reinstall)
 
did any of you ever encounter such an issue?
any ideas for a solution?
 
i longingly await your constructive solutions, requests for more information or other constructive comments.

i just now upgraded to the beta version, as instructed in your post and i do notice a slight increase in performance, however its is still nowhere near how it used to be before ver. 14
 
is there a way to downgrade the app version to before this issue occurred?

I now compared the build with stlport_shared, and then also installed the old version 13.03.03 and even older 12.08.01, all of them took about the same time to open and show a long text file. Don't know what else could be the problem, could you maybe send me by email one or two files that open so slowly for you?
 
Also, please tell me if you open them in the default vertical scrolling mode (swipe finger vertically to see more text), or do you use horizontal scrolling mode, where text is divided into screen size "pages"? If horizontal, could you switch to vertical (under T+/- icon on top, MODE tab), exit @Voice completely from menu - Exit, open again and tell me if opening in vertical scrolling mode is equally slow, or any faster?

I did not release ver. 14.0.5, because in my tests there was no difference in opening long txt files with 14.0.4 (or even versions 13 and 12). Got your email with the files, thank you. Will test them, more likely tomorrow, too tired right now to continue working...
