Please look at all the options on Capture ribbon tab - Capture Settings button - Quick Save tab. Set the start file number and incrementing scheme there. Then press "Change" button to select the base file name (default: snap), folder, file format.

If you want to add date and time to the file name, use %date% and %time% macros in the base file name, for example enter:

    snap_%date%_%time%.png

This will generate a file name like:

    snap_1-25-2018_11-10-002.png

Normally this name-ruling only works with automatically saving all captures.

So if i don't want save automatically all Captures i:

    1. Enable the Quicksave-Settings with the Option at the Top
    2. Make the Settings for the naming
    3. Disable the Quicksave-Settings with the Option at the Top
    4. Enable the Option at the Bottom to apply name-ruling when the quicksave is disabled.

    Am i right ?

Is it possible to produce a little bit more complex way to produce the Date ?

    The actual filename (snap_%date%_%time%.png) produce:
    snap_29.01.2018_14-22-003.png
    (additional numbering is enabled; ->003
And date is in german style. But the english style (01/29/2018) ist not better.
    Its worse.)

    Our Company-standart is like:
    snap_20180129_14-22-003.png

this Shows the files in Windows in the right order.
For all years. With the normal %date% it only right in one Month (For Germany)

What in CMD works doesn't work in HyperSnap 8.
    In CMD i can type:
    echo %DATE:~6,4%%DATE:~3,2%%DATE:~0,2%
    to get e.g.:
    20180129

    But a filename like
    snap_%DATE:~6,4%%DATE:~3,2%%DATE:~0,2%_%time%.png
    is not accepted.

I'm sorry, I don't have extensive options for date and time formatting, HyperSnap just uses the default system date and time format in these macros.
