AMD Sluggishness

I have an AMD 1700X and Hypersnap just runs very sluggish on it.

No problems on my Intel based laptop

Both are fresh install Win 10's from around Christmas time...

Ideas?

It stated happening very recently and seems to be related to Microsoft patching for Meltdown/Spectre vulnerabilities, but hopefully a work-around or fix can be found soon, possibly before the end of January 2018.

Version 8.16 of HyperSnap should have this fixed now, but only for the default ribbon interface. The old menu and toolbars may be still slow and won't be fixed - most probably removed from HyperSnap completely.

I take it you did remove old toolbars in the latest push.  Will there be new toolbars coming or just the ribbon?

You still may use these old toolbars, if you switch to the "Menu" interface (on Setup ribbon tab). Note that after such switch the app may be extremely slow, depending on the patching status of your Windows system. Otherwise it's only ribbon and the "Quick access toolbar" it provides, which by default shows button in the title bar. Can be customized and shown below the ribbon too.

The muscle memory is strong with this one!  If you tracked my mouse trails, it might look like a drunk driver swerving from the old toolbar location to the new location in the ribbon.

    many thanks
