TTS settings not affecting playback

TTS settings not affecting playback

Hi, When I go to the top right menu, then pick Settings > TTS settings it takes me to a menu called "Text-to-speech options", which lets me set a number of things, including speech rate.  However, when I change the speech rate, and then return to the app, the playback speed appears to be unchanged.

Has anybody else experienced this?  Any advice?

    Expand the bottom control panel of @Voice with the rightmost button (with up pointing arrow) and set speech parameters there with the "Rate" slider, "Pitch", etc.

    Ah, thank you.  That helps.  It's still strange that the TTS settings menu does nothing, but this does solve my current problem.
