Capture Settings / QuickSave, change of incremented file name by #

[ not able to upload image, upload gallery options showing blank under two browsers ]

When capturing in sequence, sometimes you want to overwrite a filename just saved.

You used to be able to set the # in the Capture Settings - QuickSave tab, using the "start at" box and simply decrement by 1 .... In 8.06.01 (64-bit) this is not working

It continues with the same number, sometimes even if Change of file name ....

Please recreate this, advise and potentially address in future release.  Thanks!

Love HyperSnap

    Hi,
I just tested this with the latest HyperSnap 8, seems to work fine for me... I turned on the "Quick Save" feature and set the Start number to 17, and the first capture I made was snap017.png, then snap018.png etc. I then went back to Quick Save again and set the Start number to 33 - the next capture was saved as snap033.png, then snap034.png etc.
If you still think there is an error in the code, please tell me the exact steps to reproduce it. Thank you!

greg, i believe my issue is similar to this
    see dropbox link
    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g519s72ehwhn7c1/AABbkvAbIQjinDAdE1EO3Jm9a?dl=0

i have quicksave set up to start at filename of 01.jpg, increment by 2, and end at 99, and then loop.
i was scanning with a document feeder.
when it got to 99, the next one was trying to save at    01.jpg (correct) (see first image)
so, the next image, I tried to MANUALLY save as scan-201.jpg (see 2nd image)
THEN, next page that got scanned back in, hypersnap tried to again save as
Scan-01.jpg;  it would not recognize that I incremented the number in the SAVE as box (see 3rd image)
if I then let it save as scan-01.jpg, the NEXT scan saved as scan-03.jpg (see 4th image, correct)

Is there a way to have the quicksave recognize the numbers that I add, in the SAVE AS line, such as the 201.jpg, so that the next saved file SAVE AS attempt is "203.jpg"?
I THOUGHT this used to work that way, but it now seems to just rely on the quicksave parameters.

    thanks
    nick

addendum, tried to post the pictures here, but could not find way to add them to gallery to post?
    thansk

I think the logic of Quick Save is to automatically number and loop, and if you change something manually in the file name, it does not take it into account. If you want to save numbers with 201, 202 etc., then simply change the high limit of the saving number range...
