File Tab greyed out - application freezes on attempt to select File Tab

Have recently upgraded to Hypersnap version 8.04.03 (32 bit) running on Win 8.1.  After the upgrade I noticed that the 'File' Tab is not active, it's greyed out, and if clicked on the application freezes.
 
However, I have noticed this has happened to an existing Hypersnap Version 7, running on the same machine, which I opted to keep alive.
 
Any advice would be most welcome.

    The gray color of the File tab is normal with some "skins" - you can change the skin (color set and some other visual aspects) under the Setup ribbon tab. However it should not lock, when you click on whatever "File" color the program shows, a menu drops down to select several functions. I don't know why it would suddenly lock like this for you. Maybe try to completely uninstall HyperSnap 8 from that machine, then reboot it, download and install HyperSnap 8 again. You will also need to re-enter your license key after this, which hopefully you have saved with your email, or which you may recover from this web site - the "Find Lost License" link at top left.

    Somehow the message your posted contain an image in Base64 code, which the forum software could not interpret. I could not edit your message, so I deleted it, don't really need the image anyway. Here is a quote of the text you wrote:

    Could you please instead click the "Setup" ribbon tab in HyperSnap 8, then drop down the menu on the "Skin" button and select the "Windows 7" skin? The text on the File button should no longer appear greyed, but will it work then, when you click? Please try this and tell me what happens. Other skins that do not have "grayed" color of the File button are MS Office 2010, 2013 and Visual Studio 2010 skins.
