Lenovo YOGA 2 Pro 3200 X 1800 Region Capture Issue

Running Hypersnap 6.12.02 on a Lenovo YOGA 2. When I use region capture, the screen resolution changes and the right hand side and the bottom of the screen are no longer visible or scrollable under the new resolution. This means I have to size my window to fit in the top left hand corner of the screen do region capture to work. I am using the lenovo 3200 X 1800 resolution mode. If I switch to 1920 X 1200 resolution this problem disappears. Is this an issue with Hypersanp or is the a config somewhere that I am missing

    Hello James,
until Greg digs deeper into the matter, I strongly assume, your problem has to do with Windows 8 and the VERRRRYYY old version of HyperSnap. HS 6.12 was never meant to be used with Windows 8, so the bells and whistles it uses to capture screen content lead to a weird behavior of Windows 8, which tries to set its resolution to comply with an "antique" form of request.
You may at least update to HS 6.91.03 - if you have a genuine HS6 license OR to 6.13.02, if you have a HS5 license.
I won't make any promises that your problem will be solved. I rather believe, you have to set Windows 8 into a compatible screen mode.
Though I possess W8, I hardly use it. When I do, I use HS 7, which works fine.

Thank you, Thomas, that's right - most probably the old version of HyperSnap is at fault. Under Windows 8.x only HyperSnap 7 is really supported. I did not test older versions on Windows 8.

However, I have seen a similar issue on Windows 8 with HyperSnap 7, after changing resolution and text size on the fly, without rebooting the computer or at least logging off and on. So, after setting the resolution and text size you want, please try to at least log-off and log-on again, see if the program then runs better. If not, the only solution would be to upgrade to the latest HyperSnap 7.
