I also tried with options for game capture but no success as well.
 
Needless to say that basic screen capture function from Irfanview works flowlessly.

Apparently the "Convert to Black and White" options were correctly set when the issue was present.

Fortunately a restart of the PC due to "M$ Patch Tuesday" fixed the issue.
